Our Building

First Presbyterian hosts many types of community gatherings in addition to our weekly Worship service.

If you are interested in using our facilities, please fill out a building usage form and return it to the church office. We will review the church calendar for any conflicts.

Preference is given to events sponsored by members.
We rarely approve for-profit enterprises.
Proper liability insurance is a must.
Alcohol usage is prohibited.

Sanctuary

Every Sunday, our First Pres family gathers here for worship.

In the back of the Sanctuary is a room for taking care of baby’s needs while still listening to the service.

Our Sanctuary is also home to concerts from groups like the Orchestra of Northern New York. It has a seating capacity of 400.

Fellowship Hall

This large room can accommodate gatherings up to 125 people. It is equipped with a projector and speakers. The projector can handle many types of inputs, including HDMI, cell phone audio, and RCA.

Attached to this room is a large, fully equipped, commercial kitchen.

Lounge

This large meeting space is typically arranged with tables and comfortable sofas/chairs. There is a small kitchen connected to this room. Bridal parties often use this space to get ready for the wedding.

Chapel

On Sundays, this room is the home of the Ghanaian worship service. We also hold more intimate services like Ash Wednesday here. Additionally, it can be used for small weddings.

The chapel is equipped with an organ, piano, a sound system, and rows of chairs.

Room 1

Sunday School takes place in this room during the Sunday worship service. It is furnished with socially-distanced desks for Covid-19 recommendation compliance.

This room can typically accommodate 10 people at a table and several on bean bags. It is equipped with a TV and soundbar with HDMI input and a whiteboard.
